"Miaow!!"

"Boo! I'm a scarey Halloween Cat! (Aren't you scared?)"
Algernon was found wandering in the bank parking lot, down the street. No sign of his mama or siblings. A kind neighbor lady rescued him and brought him to me. As soon as I saw him, I knew he was a "keeper"!! Here is a poem my husband wrote about him:
Somebody dumped me
A bank parking lot
Lost and so helpless
The pavement is hot.
I don't know why they
would throw me away
Eyes barely open
I'd not last the day.
A kindly soul saw me
Compassionate too
"The Cat Lady's nearby
she'll know what to do".
Cat Lady looked sadly
No way I could fend
As kindly she held me
I knew she was friend.
Friend cleaned me fed me
and gave me a name
Algernon, Algie?
But I can't complain.
Such fun now to play with
the young frisky cats
And pester the old ones
'til they tell me "scat".
The Cat Lady Debbie
so sweet and so funny
She kisses and tickles
all over my tummy.
I fight back and pre-tend
I'll eat her alive
She laughs and she teases
with love in her eyes.
No longer homeless
Now cared for, warm bed
A house full of happy
Protected, well fed.
What else could I want?
